Mantra for the day…and forever 🌺 just do it!

So, today I seem to have had an abundance of energy, I went on my daily allowed walk, then did a 1 Hour Les Mills on Demand Body Pump class followed by a 45minute Body Combat Class.

It’s safe to say now that I am done for the day! Phew….

Whilst doing my Body Combat Class, one of the Elite instructors Dan Cohen said something that really struck home with me. It’s something I as an instructor try to preach and put forward to class members as I am teaching.

Now, there are many people; who for whatever reason, whatever insecurity, feel embarrassed or ashamed exercising or that people are looking at them, worrying about what they look like- stopping so many people from entering classes or the gym. Until they hear that music, they are pumped up by the instructor, they are sweating, feeling the burn, feeling those happy hormones flushing waves of Serotonin and endorphins around their bodies, they ARE kicking ass!

Dan said ‘Hey you know, you are here, you are present and it’s not about what you look like, it’s about HOW IT MAKES YOU FEEL, so FEEL IT, feel it with everything you’ve got!’

What a quote!

Screw what you look like, screw what active wear you are wearing or what weights you are using, just fully fully feel it, channel your inner badass! And just DO IT! Do the workouts that empower you to be and feel better, that push you towards positive progress and support your mental wellbeing!

Sweating to the max…. feeling like a champion

Feel it and be present !

You can apply this to many aspects in your life! If something makes you feel like a champion and is pushing you to be the absolute BEST and HAPPIEST version of yourself do it!

Wash away anxiety and negative vibes quick and useful tip

Wash it off.

Ever feel you can’t get away from anxiety, can’t escape a certain negative thought….. had a nightmare that just won’t leave your head?

Last year I learnt this valuable tip I’d like to share with you! It involves visualisation to help you expel and dissolve negative energy….

So, when you go for a shower 🚿 you need to visualise these negative energies coming from your mind out to the surface of your skin. Releasing the tension from your brain, your muscles and your body. They are now only surface problems and worries, get your favourite soap add some essential oils if you’re feeling fancy……

Now, imagine as the water pours over you, and you scrub the soap around that you are cleaning and wiping away all of those negative thoughts, they are no longer attached to your body….. They are slowly, but surely washing away down the drain. Leaving your body clean and open for new positive thoughts and a happier more clear mindset.

Give this a try, if you can’t seem to shift a negative energy.

Let me know how you get on, did it work for you?

Daily Intentions : Notice these 3 things each day…

After a bought of anxiety this week and high levels of uncertainty I decided to follow a yoga practice this morning focused on breathing and letting go. The practice highlighted allowing yourself to be distracted by thoughts, but treating yourself with compassion, speaking kindly to yourself, knowing you are doing your best and bringing yourself back to a sense of calmness and clarity.

It left me thinking 💭

Once, I focused on my breathing I was able to gain more clarity and stumbled across certain thoughts that I want to share with you.

3 Things I would like you to take a moment of calm to notice, think internally, externally or write down whatever manifestation of thought works best for you.

1) Notice something today that totally energises you, something that gives you happiness, drives your passion and gives you that buzz! Those warm fuzzies and pushes your focus towards manifesting positivity and productivity.

2) Notice something you are truly grateful for, in this moment or in this day. Something small or something bigger. A person, a feeling, an accomplishment, a thing. Focus on the radiating happiness that follows it and what it allows you to do.

3) Finally… Notice what is not working for you. How can you successfully shift the negativity of this to positivity and productivity. How can this thing make a graceful exit and how can you learn something from it. Be kind to yourself with this one. It is 100% OK to recognise when something isn’t bringing you mental clarity, peace or if something isn’t helping you to progress mentally, physical or spiritually. Get rid of it.

Take 15 minutes for yourself each day to note these things down.

To conclude, ending in a similar way to which I began. Today is a fresh day, you are doing your very best. Take time to breathe, reflect and celebrate. Be still. Be mindful & be kind to yourself and others.
